A Case of Trigeminal Motor Neuropathy

Abstract

|
Trigeminal motor neuropathy is a rare disorder which involves only motor fiber in trigeminal nerve.
We experienced a 37-year-old woman with progressive muscle weakness and wasting of right temporalis muscle for 5 years. She had no sensony deficit and brain CT revealed no gross abnormality except marked atrophy of right temporalis muscle. All
the
laboratory findings were negative except elevated protein and IgG index in CSF. EMG revealed chronic denervating process in right temporalis muscle. She has not improved after steroid theraphy.
